PROJECTS—STAR ATLAS: SAGE MULTIPLAYER BLOCKCHAIN GAME
SAGE is an ambitious on-chain multiplayer multi-platform game. The game is a precursor to the Fleet Command game mode available on PC in the Star Atlas game available on the Epic Game Store.
Star Atlas is producing it's flagship game on Unreal Engine. As part of a large R&D push to help develop the technology needed for gaming on-chain as well as to test and develop it's economy, the team decided to create the SAGE web game.
My role on this project was to direct the design of the product as well as act as an individual contributor. Along with a team of talented designers, engineers, blockchain architects, game designers, visual artists, and economists, we spent time in tight iteration loops launching and testing various game loops and features.
